Our "Strongback" aluminum flatbeds are built to handle the load of a dump bed to start with. All we need to do is add the hydraulics.

Note: The old style "gravity fill" auxiliary tanks cause havoc with the computerized tanks in newer trucks. The gravity feed systems keep the tank full for so long the computer thinks something is wrong and error messages start flying, disabling your fuel gauge. So beware. Made to order to fit your truck and your needs. We use 3/16 thick aluminum on our transfer tanks. No reason to skimp here.

Fuel filler: Our newest Cab Guard has the fuel filler located above bed in headboard for easy, fast, fill - Standard equipment. If you've owned flatbeds in the past, you've experienced slow filling tanks that are aggravating to say the least. We take every truck we install our Stronbackâ„¢ flat bed bodies on to the gas station to test the fill speed before we let you have it.

Vee Deck: Reno Rosser, of Flying "U" Rodeo, uses different trailers every day to haul bulls and horses to rodeo events around the country. Cranking his trailer landing gear up and down was a pain and costing him time. With his suggestion, we took some of the work out by designing a vee in the bed. We call it our "Vee Deck." We also have a cover for the vee area to make the bed flat.

Trap Doors? Use a trap door in the back of our Strongbackâ„¢ aluminum truck flatbed to store fire hoses. This unique option could be used for anything 4" high x 20" wide x length of the flatbed. In this case a 9 foot long flatbed gives you an easy 8 foot of storage length.

Stake Body Pockets: Our stake pockets are sized to accept 2x4's. Build your own sides if you want to, or need too. You may want to haul something unusual so you can take some 2x4's and build what you need just for that load. Or some guys just like wood sides. Highway Products flatbeds give you a choice.

Tapered Rear Corner Option: There is an obvious distinction between a standard flatbed and one with tapered corners. Some will argue that there is also some aerodynamic benefit to angling the side/rear corner where there is otherwise no taper in the shape.

Underbody Boxes Option: Highway Products underbody truck tool boxes have internal design features that make them extra tough: An oversized continuous stainless steel piano hinge attached with unshakable, 1/4 inch stainless Torxâ„¢ screws (not rivets) and assures long term performance. Torx screws also allow you to replace a damaged tool box door without special tools and expense; The same Heavy-duty "T-handle" stainless steel locks and mechanisms we have been using for 30 years.
